While traveling on one of my life’s most challenging journeys, fighting cancer, I realized that there wasn’t much support in terms of products that would help me feel better. Over the course of a year, I underwent eight major surgeries. I no longer had my breasts, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, or cervix. I even had the pleasure of losing some of my lymph nodes (just being my normal sarcastic self). My body was left as an empty shell and all of my femininity was gone. 

 

The chemotherapy made me physically exhausted, nauseated, hairless (including nose hair, ouch, I never knew that nose hair was so important), and without fingernails or toenails. I also experienced dry, blotchy, and itchy skin, an irritable vagina, and the loss of feeling in my feet due to painful neuropathy. 

 

Because of the removal of my feminine qualities, I was not able to use any products that contained estrogen. In fact, I was told to stay away from all hormones. As a result, I was now a woman who had no energy, no defining personal characteristics as a woman, and no hormones to activate the feelings of intimacy or sexual desire. As I said before, an “empty shell”. Don’t get me wrong, I was very grateful to still be alive and to be able to enjoy life with my family. 

 

Now, several years after my cancer journey, I decided to start a company that offers products to help women of all ages who have had, or are currently experiencing the effects of cancer. I also wanted to reach women who suffer with other medical conditions such as: endometriosis, painful menstrual cycles, and the symptoms of being perimenopausal, menopausal, and post-menopausal.
